transdermal Administration

Transdermal delivery of active agents has several advantages:

  • Non-invasive, ideal as a substitute for other forms of administration 
  • First-pass effect (the breakdown of active substances by the liver) is avoided
  • Difficulty swallowing (eg elderly or autistic children) are avoided
  • The patient can self-applying treatment,
  • Treatment can be stopped quickly by removing the product

Side effects :

When starting to use sleep problems (insomnia, disturbed sleep which can be accompanied with vivid, bizarre dreams), nausea, prevent hangovers, headaches can occur. And especially women are more emotional. This disappears usually after about one week, if not then contact your doctor / practitioner or pharmacy.


Interaction with other medications :

Combination with alcohol and morphine-like painkillers is strongly discouraged. LDN stimulates the immune system, whereby the combination with immunosuppressive agents such as interferons, methotrexate, azathioprine and steroids is not advised; However, in general to the combination with max 10 mg of prednisone per day is possible. In cases of questions or ambiguities your physician / practitioner and / or the pharmacy.


Pregnancy and Lactation 

About use during human pregnancy is insufficiently known. In animal experiments Naltrexone has proved to be harmful (pregnancy category B3). It is also unknown whether naltrexone becomes tired-'s milk. Talk to your doctor / practitioner if you are breastfeeding and want to use Naltrexone.
