By default, LDN therapy is started with the drops (0.25 mg per drop), but in some patients this starting dose is already too high. In addition, the standard drops taste very bitter. The sugar-free syrup we have developed tastes considerably better than the drops and with the syrup you now have the option to start with a considerably lower dose.
Side effects:
When starting use, sleeping problems (insomnia, disturbed sleep which can be accompanied by vivid, bizarre dreams), nausea, a hangover, headache may occur. And especially women can become more emotional. Usually this is over after one week, if not then contact your doctor/practitioner or the pharmacy.
Interaction with other drugs:
Combination with alcohol and morphine-like painkillers is strongly discouraged. LDN stimulates the immune system, so the combination with immune suppressants such as interferons, methotrexate, azathioprine and steroids is not recommended; however in general would the combination with max. 10 mg prednisone per day be possible. In those cases or if you have any questions or are unclear, consult your doctor/practitioner and/or the pharmacy.
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
Not enough is known about its use in human pregnancy. Naltrexone has been shown to be harmful in animal tests (pregnancy category B3). It is also unknown whether Naltrexone passes into breast milk. Talk to your doctor/practitioner if you are breast-feeding and want to start using Naltrexone.
